Scar Bunny Studios
The independent art project of Arlen Markob, an amateur illustrator, urban exploration photographer, musician, and aspiring writer based in the United States. Arlen began its creative career as an urbex enthusiast at the age of 15, exploring various abandoned ruins scattered across the southeast.
In its youth, it was fascinated by medical science and aspired to be an emergency medical technician. At 18, however, due to severe mental health complications, it dropped out of college and took an interest in fine art. Initially solely creating collages to cope with traumatic experiences and emotional turmoil, it took up drawing and music as hobbies later into adulthood.
At 23, Arlen began showing signs of psychosis, and was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder in the winter of 2018, and later, dissociative identity disorder in 2021. This didn't stop it from creating art, and eventually it even found a modest audience for its drawings and photography on social media websites. Having been hospitalized in psychiatric facilities many times, Arlen was often limited to only using crayons for safety reasons, which led to discovering a passion for using such media in its illustrations. In the summer of 2023, Arlen became homeless due its disabilities, but still didn't stop drawing or exploring ruins. As of today, it lives with family and continues to pursue its hobbies and interests.
While unable to accept payment or compensation, Arlen is willing to collaborate with other creators on passion projects, as Scar Bunny Studios.
